Salish Soils

On British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, First Nation–owned Salish Soils processes wood, fish, and organic waste into high-value soil amendments. To enable efficient, all-season receiving, composting, and curing, BuildWorks constructed a spacious 80′ × 250′ XP MegaDome fabric compost processing building (20,000 ft²) with hot-dip galvanized components and a custom suspended interior gable for odour control and biofilter air segregation.

Project

To ensure year-round availability of their high-quality soil products, Salish partnered with BuildWorks. Together, they designed, supplied, and constructed a series of 6 MegaDome® structures to cover the new soil bunkers—a practical and efficient solution.
