Canvas Buildings Projects

Brenda Renewables Composting Facility

The Brenda Renewables Composting Facility in Peachland, B.C. showcases the strength of a MegaDome canvas building in one of Canada’s harshest climates. At 32,000 ft² and designed for a snow load of 5.3 kPa (110 psf), this XP model structure withstands high-altitude conditions at nearly 5,000 ft elevation. Built with galvanized steel framing, concrete beams, and a translucent fabric cover, the facility integrates advanced composting systems including Airfloor® aeration, leachate management, and odor control. This project proves how MegaDome canvas buildings can meet strict environmental regulations while offering long-lasting durability and efficiency.

Brenda Renewables Composting Facility

In Edmonton, AB, Summit Hydro Vac required a custom canvas building to support sludge processing and heavy equipment operations. MegaDome delivered a 60′ × 132′ structure with 12′ bay spacing, complete with two glass overhead doors for natural light, a full-width garage door, and branded green accent striping. Designed for industrial performance, the building houses filtration and centrifuging equipment under a weather-resistant membrane, reducing energy costs and construction time compared to conventional steel buildings. This project highlights the versatility of canvas buildings for demanding industrial applications.
